Replacing the outgoing Mazda CX-5 2.0L Individual Auto FWD, Mazda SA introduced a sportier version called the Mazda CX-5 Carbon Edition. The CX-5 Carbon Edition comes locked and loaded with a variety of exciting unique styling tweaks that we cannot wait for our customers to experience.

The CX-5 Carbon Edition retains the familiar 2.0-litre petrol engine which offers 121 kW and 213 Nm powering the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission. It is mated exclusively to an automatic transmission only. As previously mentioned, it is based on the Individual Auto FWD since it is replacing it.

Despite all the challenges that we faced this past year CMH Mazda Randburg service department strived to excel and provide the best possible customer support and expert service to our valued customers. Our service department is run by the knowledgeable Hanno Roux who enjoys interacting with customers and always aims to go the extra mile to meet customer needs.

The 35year old has been in the motor industry for 10years. He joined the CMH group in 2014 and has worked his way up the ladder to where he is now. He started as a service advisor and during those 10years Hanno has won a couple of customer champion awards.

We would like to take this moment to congratulate our dedicated Service manager as he recently won an award for the Outstanding Improvement in the CMH awards night that was hosted on the 1st of June 2021. With the number of Covid-19 infections going up each day, CMH Mazda Randburg are fully adhering to all Government protocols to try and flatten the curve. To also try and minimize the infections all our vehicles are regularly sanitized, this includes all demo vehicles, used vehicles, shuttle vehicles as well as customer vehicles. All work surfaces and equipment are disinfected before work begins, regularly during the working period and after work ends. All areas such as toilets, door handles, shared electronic equipment are regularly cleaned and disinfected.

Easy Steps To Change Your Mazda Tyre.

It’s an unfortunate reality that flat tyres are not really a thing we can plan for. It’s never a nice moment when you hear a thump, pop or flapping noise that tells you your car has a flat tyre. Punctured or flat tyres can happen to any vehicle and can be mild or severe, depending on what has caused the issue and what area of the tyre has been affected. The good news is if you are prepared, there are some simple steps you can follow to change your tyre safely and get back on the road to your destination. Mazda vehicles come equipped with the items you’ll need, which can often be found in a recessed area of the boot. These items include a spare tyre, a jack and a wheel brace. flat tyres CMH Mazda Randburg has compiled a few easy steps to help you in the unfortunate event: The first step is to slowly pull over and try to park from a safe distance from the road away from the passing vehicles. Put on your hazards lights and make sure your Mazda vehicle is parked with your handbrake on. The next step will be to loosen your wheel nuts by one turn. Remember, turning a bolt or nut anti-clockwise will normally loosen it, whereas turning it clockwise, or to the right, will tighten it (lefty loosely, righty tightly…). Try a quick anti-clockwise jolt to loosen, or if you need more force, carefully use your foot or get your body weight behind the brace. Once all the nuts are loose, look at your Mazda vehicle’s manual to find the correct point to place the jack. Slowly wind the jack to raise the vehicle until there is about a 5-10cm gap between the road and your tyre. Remove each wheel nut completely and put them in a safe place. Slowly remove the flat tyre and place it under the car (using it as a support mechanism just in case the jack gives way). Take your spare tyre and line it up with the wheel holes before placing the tyre onto the wheel hub. Put the wheel nuts back into place and tighten them as far as you can using your hand. Remove the flat tyre from underneath the vehicle and wind the jack down until the spare tyre is taking on the vehicle’s weight. Remove the jack. Use the wheel brace to fully tighten your wheel nuts. Place your tools and flat tyre back into the boot in a secure place. flat tyres If you’ve completed these steps correctly, and feel safe to do so, you should now be in a position to get back on the road. You have successfully just changed your own tyre all on your own.

The model is based on Isuzu’s trusted line of pickup trucks but designed with Mazda’s Kodo Soul of Motion aesthetic philosophy. The result is a truck that’s decidedly sleek and modern. On the inside, it’s crafted to go above and beyond what you’d expect from a pickup truck and provides drivers with a comfortable, upscale ride. Mazda has applied its Kodo design philosophy to the new bakkie, which has far better proportions and detailing, especially when viewed from the front.

The Mazda BT-50 seats five people and boasts a maximum payload of 2,348 pounds. On top of that, it’s powerful enough to tow up to 7,716 pounds. Under the hood, this refreshed truck sports a 3.0-liter diesel engine that pumps out 187 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. Currently, there are no available estimates on the model’s fuel efficiency.

While the Mazda BT-50 is about to be fully redesigned, we expect a few features to be retained between generations. These include necessities like four-wheel drive and standard smartphone compatibility, as well as available accessories like a nudge bar and an air intake snorkel for driving though dusty conditions. We also expect chassis cab models to make a comeback.


Headlights are now smaller and more rectangular in shape, while the large grille is balanced in appearance, by four bold horizontal slats. The successful design of Mazda’s SUVs and crossovers have definitely influenced its new bakkie.


The 2021 Mazda BT-50 will be the most technically advanced model to wear the badge, available with safety features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, blind zone warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. Added comfort and convenience features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and height & reach adjustable steering. Mazda South Africa says it will confirm local arrival timing within the next few weeks.

CMH Mazda Randburg would like to congratulate Abigail Modipane on winning the most improved F&I award for the 2020 financial year at the CMH Awards. Her hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed as she managed to move up 40 places from last year’s rankings. Abigail is a financial manager and works in cohesion with the financial institutions to get our clients the best possible vehicle financing deals. She is renowned for orchestrating the best possible deals which predominately leads to more happy customers Abigail at work Abigail started in the motor industry in 2013 as a receptionist. Through her perseverance and hard work she was soon promoted to F&I assistant. Abigail did not stop there, the following year she was presented with her NCA certificate (National Credit Regulator). In 2016 Abigail started studying FAIS and managed to complete the course in 2018. Abigail is currently studying towards getting her RE (Regulatory Exam) which will allow her to work independently. The success story of Abigail Modipane has been a real inspiration to the CMH Mazda Randburg team and has motivated the team to strive for more.
