Vehicle Finance Made Easy: Everything You Need to Apply
Purchasing a vehicle is an exciting milestone, and at CMH Mazda Randburg, we strive to make the vehicle finance process as simple and stress-free as possible. Whether you are applying as a private individual, self-employed professional, foreign national, company, or close corporation, having the correct documentation ready can help speed up your finance application and get you behind the wheel sooner.
South African Citizens
For private individuals who are South African citizens, the required documents include a valid identity document, whether it is a Smart ID Card (front and back), a Green Barcoded ID Book, or a valid temporary identity document. Applicants must also provide proof of address that is not older than three months. Acceptable proof of address includes a utility bill, bank statement, or a recent lease or rental agreement that clearly reflects the individual’s name and residential address. In addition, finance applications require three months’ bank statements, three months’ payslips, and a valid driver’s licence (front and back).
Foreign Nationals
At CMH Mazda Randburg, we also assist foreign nationals with vehicle finance applications. Foreign national applicants are required to provide a valid passport, a valid asylum seeker or refugee permit (where applicable), a valid work permit, and proof of address not older than three months. Supporting documents such as three months’ bank statements, three months’ payslips, and a valid driver’s licence are also required. Acceptable proof of address must clearly reflect the applicant’s name and residential address and may include a utility bill, bank statement, or a recent lease or rental agreement.
Self-Employed Applicants
Self-employed applicants are welcome to apply for vehicle finance through CMH Mazda Randburg. In these cases, the standard identification and proof of address requirements still apply. However, self-employed individuals will need to provide six months’ bank statements instead of the standard three months. This allows financial institutions to accurately assess affordability and income consistency when considering the application.
Companies (Pty) Ltd
For Companies (Pty) Ltd, additional documentation is required. This includes company registration documents and confirmation of voting rights or shareholding. Related Party KYC documentation must also be supplied, including company registration documents, a resolution signed by all directors and voting rights holders (5% and above), as well as verified identification documents and proof of address for all directors and individuals listed on related party suretyships. Related Party KYC documentation for all individuals linked to customer-related parties must also be submitted, including verified identification, records of address, and contact details. Companies must provide verified proof of their operating address.
Close Corporations
At CMH Mazda Randburg, we also cater for Close Corporations applying for vehicle finance. The required documentation includes company registration documents and a resolution signed by all members. Full KYC documentation must be provided for all members, including verified identification documents and proof of address. Related Party KYC documentation is required for donors, trustees, and all named beneficiaries where applicable, including verified identification, records of address, and contact details. Applicants must also provide verified proof of the Close Corporation’s operating address, a memorandum from vetting, and source of funds documentation to ensure compliance with finance and regulatory requirements.
